Newburgh City Manager Todd Venning presented his 2026 budget proposal to the City Council on Oct. 14.

“My FY2026 budget proposal contains no new taxes,” said Venning in a press release, “and no rate increases for water, sewer, and sanitation services, while boosting public safety spending and continuing the City’s $250M infrastructure improvement plan.”

The 2026 proposed budget is $103,249,263, a 2.7% increase from the previous year.

The general funds of $71.7 million make up 69% of the budget and the remainder of $31.6 million is allocated as enterprise funds for water, sewer and sanitation.
