Jonathan David Burr, who was arrested earlier this month after a manhunt in north Killeen, was firing shots from a car while being pursued by a state trooper through the city’s streets, according to court documents.

“(The trooper) continued to pursue Burr, varying his lane position to avoid the shots that Burr continued to fire in (the trooper’s) direction on varying streets and curved roadways,” according to the arrest affidavit detailing the events of Oct. 9 in north Killeen.

Burr, 25, was booked into the Bell County Jail on Oct. 10, and was being held on bonds totaling $1.4 million including two recent charges of aggravated assault against a family or household member, which is a first-degree felony, and evading arrest or detention, a third-degree felony.
