Diane Keaton tragically passed away last weekend and we found out her cause of death this week.

The 79-year-old actress died after battling pneumonia , and now her death certificate has revealed a few more tragic details.

According to the certificate, viewed by People , her official cause of death was primary bacterial pneumonia, and she had been battling it for a few days before her death.

She was cremated, and had no other contributing conditions that led to her passing.
