Ontario has granted the Belleville Police Service more than $335,000 for two separate programs focused on public safety and victim services.
Bay of Quinte Progressive Conservative MPP Tyler Allsopp on Thursday announced the funding in a brief news conference at police headquarters.

The service will receive more than $235,000 to modernize its patrol strategy through the use of hard data, deploying officers where statistics show they are most needed.
A further $100,000 will continue the embedding of a full-time victim services worker at the police station. That position has been in place since 2019.
