Shōgun actor Hiromoto Ida will be returning as the ruthless Lord Kiyama, a 17th-century feudal warlord, in Season 2 of the Hulu and FX series .
But before the Nelson-based actor begins shooting the new season in Vancouver in January, he will be taking to the Firehall Arts Centre stage for Vacant Lot.
Running Oct. 22-25, the dance-theatre production, which also stars Lindsay Clague, is the official opening production for the Vancouver arts organization’s 2025-2026 season.
Based on the Japanese play Sarachi by contemporary Japanese theatre artist Shogo Ota, Ida’s work combines spoken theatre, dance and movement as it follows a long-married couple who visit the vacant lot where their house once stood.
While the pair are flooded with memories and the overwhelming existential real
