GOOSE CREEK — After months of investigating, authorities arrested a 42-year-old man on nearly 100 charges relating to the mistreatment and torture of a bevy of dogs found in deplorable conditions on his property.
Officials rescued more than 50 dogs of a variety of ages from Quentin Roderick Reid’s property off of Reese Court, according to the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office.
The man was arrested Oct. 14 and faces 50 counts of municipal-level rabies control violations and 49 counts of criminal ill treatment of animals with torture. He was additionally charged with three drug-related charges and nine weapons-related charges.
Reid was granted personal recognizance bonds on all animal-related charges on Oct. 15, meaning he will be required to pay a sum of around $103,000 if he fails to app
