GREENVILLE — A man was taken into custody Thursday after allegedly calling Greenville City Hall and threatening to “blow everyone up,” according to city officials.

Authorities said on Facebook today that the individual arrived at City Hall shortly after making the threat and was immediately apprehended by Greenville Police Department officers without incident. No one was injured.

Officials said there are no ongoing safety concerns for City Hall employees, visitors, or the public. The threat has been resolved, and normal operations have resumed.

Mayor Errick D. Simmons said the city will be reviewing security procedures in light of the incident.
