All traffic on I-40 westbound is being diverted onto US 29 South due to a motor vehicle crash involving serious injuries, according to Greensboro police.
There is no estimated time of re-opening for the highway and an update will be sent out when the highway reopens.
Motorists are encouraged to avoid this area and use an alternate route for travel.
