CHICAGO — Governor JB Pritzker convened a group of former military general and admirals Thursday morning.

Pritzker said it was to hear their views on the Trump administration's attempts to militarize American cities.

Some of the officials were apart of National Securities Leaders for America — a bipartisan volunteer organization made up of retired servicemembers.

The consensus among those in the room was clear — they condemned National Guard deployments without the consent of state and local government.

After making his case once againt against the deployment of troops on the streets of Chicago, Pritzker invited the former military officials to the podium.
