Greta Thunberg has come forward with harrowing accounts of mistreatment after being detained by Israeli authorities while attempting to enter Gaza with a freedom flotilla. The activist, along with over 400 detainees, faced a chaotic interception by Israeli forces using water cannons to prevent the flotilla from reaching its humanitarian mission. Thunberg alleges inhumane treatment during detention, describing being tied, dragged and kicked, while guards reportedly took selfies and displayed degrading behavior. She recounts witnessing fifty detainees handcuffed on their knees, foreheads pressed to the floor and others threatened with gas cylinders in a menacing display.
