Mayor Eric Adams on Thursday launched a new NYPD unit to focus solely on domestic abuse cases in the Big Apple — calling it the largest squad of its kind in the nation.

The department’s new Domestic Violence Unit, which will begin to roll out next week, will designate 450 cops to deal solely with domestic abuse cases in the five boroughs, while creating new positions to help the city’s prosecutors work to resolve the cases, Adams told reporters .
