MACON COUNTY — An Atlanta man is now charged with DWI in connection to an accident that seriously injured an Iowa man in September.

Online court records say charges were filed against Lonnie Trent Fine in Macon County Wednesday.

In a probable cause statement, the Missouri State Highway Patrol accuses Fine of operating an ATV while intoxicated. The preliminary accident report says Fine’s 23-year-old passenger fell off the four-wheeler while it was westbound on Highway M. He was transported to University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Fine was not injured.

No court dates are scheduled at this time.
