A suspect has been arrested in connection with the disappearance of Philadelphia woman Kada Scott after he was hit with kidnapping charges related to another case earlier this year, police said, declaring that his alleged criminal behavior is part of disturbing “pattern.”

Keon King was detained Monday on charges of kidnapping and reckless endangerment, Assistant District Attorney Ashley Toczylowski told reporters at a news conference on Wednesday. He was ordered held on a $2.5 million bond during his arraignment on Thursday, ABC 6 reported.

Police said 21-year-old King was in contact with Scott prior to her disappearance earlier this month. She was last seen on October 4, leaving her place of work.
