A 20-year-old B-Pharma student was found murdered with multiple injuries near the railway tracks behind Mantri Mall in Malleshwaram on Thursday afternoon.

The deceased has been identified as Yamini Priya, resident of Srirampura had gone to college to attend exam and returning home .

Initial probe revealed that the assailant followed her and attacked her with lethal weapon stabbing her neck and back multiple times before fleeing the spot.She died on roadside with excessive bleeding.

The Murder came to light when few passers-by noticed the girl in a pool of blood lying dead on roadside and alerted the police.

The Srirampura police rushed to the scene of crime and conducted spot investigations,before shifting the body for the post-mortem.
