ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Albany County District Attorney's Office (ACDA) announced that 29-year-old Lamont Evans pleaded guilty on Thursday before Judge Andra Ackerman to first-degree rape in a sexual assault case. The Albany man originally pleaded not guilty to all charges of his initial indictment.

As part of his submitted plea, Evans admitted to forcing a woman to engage in sexual acts after breaking into the victim's Lancaster Street apartment just after 8:30 p.m. on June 15. He was taken into custody by Albany Police shortly after leaving the victim's residence.

Evans, who was found to be in violation of parole, is expected to be sentenced to 15 years in prison and 15 years of post-release probation, according to the ACDA. He
