Republican U.S. Rep. Ashley Hinson has quickly amassed a sizeable financial advantage in Iowa's U.S. Senate race after declaring she would run to replace retiring U.S. Sen. Joni Ernst.
Federal campaign finance reports, which cover July 1 through Sept. 30, show Hinson raised $1.7 million and has more than $4 million in the bank, including money she transfered from her U.S. House campaign.
