Apple is reportedly working on its first-ever touchscreen MacBook Pro , with a release window targeting late 2026 or early 2027, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman.

The new laptops, code-named K114 and K116, are said to feature a thinner, lighter frame, run on M6 chips, and include OLED displays—the first time Apple has brought that screen technology to the Mac.

Sources familiar with Apple’s plans say the company has also developed reinforced hinges and screen components to stop the display from “bouncing” when tapped, a problem common in existing Windows laptops. The updated MacBook Pro will reportedly ditch the notch in favour of a hole-punch camera, similar to the Dynamic Island design found on recent iPhones.
