LOS ANGELES — Academy Award-winning actor Diane Keaton died Saturday, days after contracting a bacterial pneumonia infection, according to a death certificate obtained by multiple news outlets.

The document indicated no other significant conditions contributed to the death of the 79-year-old actor.

The Keaton family previously announced her cause of death in a statement to People on Wednesday.

"The Keaton family are very grateful for the extraordinary messages of love and support they have received these past few days on behalf of their beloved Diane, who passed away from pneumonia on October 11," the family said in a statement.
