NATCHITOCHES, La. — The sixth annual Drums Along the River concert will be held on Oct. 24 at 6:30 p.m. at the downtown riverbank stage in Natchitoches.

Admission is free and open to the public.

The concert will feature two groups under the direction of Andrew Blair and Oliver Molina.

The Spirit of Northwestern Percussion Section, directed by Blair, will perform stand cadences, traditional school songs, and show music from the Spirit of Northwestern production titled "Winner Takes All."

The NSU Steel PanDEMONium Band and Samba Batucada Band, led by Molina, will also perform.

The steel band, which uses instruments from the island nation of Trinidad and Tobago, will showcase its unique sound and dance beats with island classics like “Limbo” and “Jump in the Line,” as well as pop songs s
