DES MOINES, Iowa —

Iowa GOP Chairman Jeff Kaufmann will lead the Republican National Committee's presidential nominating efforts.

Kaufmann was named the chair of the RNC's Presidential Nominating Process Committee. He says the committee will help determine whether Iowa Republicans remain first in the nation. This is his second time leading the group.

At last year's Republican National Convention, President Donald Trump picked Kaufmann to officially nominate him for president.
