KANSAS CITY, Mo. - North Kansas City continues to be one of the main locations discussed as a site for a new Royals stadium.

In August of 2023, the Royals displayed renderings of the ballpark in North Kansas City near 18th Street and Fayette Avenue.

Back in April of this year, Missouri State Senator Maggie Nurrenbern—who also represents Clay County in the state legislature—said there have been close conversations with the Royals about a new ballpark in NKC.

Most recently, on Tuesday, NKC Mayor Jesse Smith released a statement on the ongoing conversations with the Royals about a new stadium:
