SIOUX FALLS — A former Sioux Falls middle school teacher will spend two dozen years in federal prison after admitting to using popular social media platforms to coerce teens into sending inappropriate media of themselves.

A federal judge on Wednesday, Oct. 15, sentenced former Whittier Middle School teacher Justin Preuschl to 24 years and 3 months in federal prison, followed by seven years of supervised release.

Preuschl in July pleaded guilty to eight criminal charges, including production of illicit images involving minors, attempted production and possession. In exchange, nearly 30 additional charges against him were dismissed.
