The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office (MDSO) is the first agency in the nation to use an autonomous vehicle.

PUG is equipped with 360-degree cameras, thermal imaging, license plate recognition, and drone launch capability.

During the 12-month pilot program, MDSO will evaluate how PUB improves response times and enhances deterrence as well as officer safety.
