Today’s senior citizens aren’t the same as the generation of seniors before it.

Some might consider it an oxymoron, but Tim Frey, program director for health and wellness at Benjamin Rose, calls the set “newer older adults.”

Aimed at providing exercise, social interaction and the thrill of learning something new, even for septuagenarians, “Rose on the Go” is an evolving and growing program at Benjamin Rose.

Benjamin Rose is a nonprofit organization with an office on Fairhill Road in Cleveland’s University Circle neighborhood.

Founded in 1908, the organization named for its founder, provides support for adults on the “aging journey,” Frey said.

The organization provides in person and remote support concerning wellness, financial needs and housing.
