UNION — The Union Fairgrounds are getting ready to transform into a haunted attraction once again — and organizers say this year’s Trail of Terror will be the scariest yet.

“At night with all the black lights on, with all those scare actors about, it’s incredible,” said Anthony Collins, secretary of the Friends of Union Fair Society.

The annual event features eerie sets, spooky lighting, and dozens of volunteer scare actors.

“It’s creepy. It may be disturbing for some people,” Collins said. “It is PG-13. We’re here to scare people we can’t touch, but like I said, grown men have run away from me.”

Everything from the sets to the costumes is created by volunteers who’ve spent weeks getting ready.
