Three audits of campaign expenses related to the 2022 municipal election have cost Ottawa more than $450,000, the city clerk reported Thursday. Article content

In a memo addressed to city councillors, Caitlin Salter MacDonald also revealed that an independent prosecutor had advised in late September that a legal proceeding against the local advocacy group Horizon Ottawa would not be continued as it was “not in the public interest to prosecute any of the apparent contraventions” identified in an auditor’s report.
