Al Pacino is speaking out after the death of his The Godfather co-star and ex-girlfriend Diane Keaton .

If you didn’t know, after starring together in 1972′s The Godfather , Al , 85, and the Annie Hall actress dated on and off in the 1980s.

Days after Diane died at the age of 79 on October 11, Al shared a message remembering the Oscar-winning actress.

” I am deeply saddened by Diane Keaton’s passing,” Al shared with Deadline on Thursday (October 16).

“When I first heard the news, I was shaken.
