CLEMSON — Clemson football quarterback Cade Klubnik is questionable entering the Tigers' Week 8 game.

Clemson (3-3, 2-2 ACC) will face SMU (4-2, 2-0) on Oct. 18 (3:30 p.m. ET, ACC Network) at Memorial Stadium.

Klubnik injured his ankle in Week 7 vs Boston College .

Tigers coach Dabo Swinney said Klubnik missed practice on Oct. 13 and returned the following two days but was limited. According to On3Sports, there is "significant concern" about Klubnik’s ability to play against SMU.

If Klubnik can't go, backup quarterback Christopher Vizzina will make his first career start. It would be the first time since 2014 that a Clemson starting quarterback missed a game because of injury.
