Detroit — The Detroit Pistons closed their four-game preseason with a 119-98 win over the Washington Wizards at Little Caesars Arena. The game followed the news of Jaden Ivey , who underwent an arthroscopic procedure on his right knee on Thursday. Although he will start the rehabilitation process immediately, Ivey will miss at least the first four weeks of the regular season.
Jalen Duren led the Pistons with 20 points, six rebounds, three blocks and a steal. Cade Cunningham posted a double-double of 16 points on 6-of-10 shooting, 12 assists, two steals and a block. The Pistons received substantial contributions from their bench, led by Paul Reed, Dannis Jenkins and Chaz Lanier, who scored 11, 11, and nine points, respectively. Reed also added five rebounds.
