Auston Matthews scored just 58 seconds into overtime to lead the Toronto Maple Leafs to a 2-1 win over the New York Rangers on Thursday night.

The Leafs captain redirected a pass from William Nylander to score his fourth of the season and clinch the two points, but goaltender Anthony Stolarz deserved many of the plaudits for the victory, making 28 saves on 29 shots, many of the grade-A variety.
