You pay your money, you’ve bought the right to boo. Booing is fun. It may even be healthy. Better to boo strangers than bottle it all up and punch someone in an Ikea parking lot. That’s what my mother always says.

But do you boo a guy who just got nailed on the kneecap by a 96 mph fastball, and is lying there looking like he may require an amputation?

Do you boo him when he rises like he’s getting off his death bed and two other guys start dragging him toward first?

Do you boo him when he gives up and leaves the field?
