A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in Calgary’s southwest on Wednesday evening, prompting a police investigation and multiple road closures.
The collision happened around 8:35 p.m. at the intersection of Woodpark Blvd SW and 117 Avenue SW in the community of Woodbine.
Calgary police officers responded to the scene and confirmed that one individual was injured. The extent of the injuries has not been disclosed.
CPS’s traffic unit has been called in to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision. No further details have been released at this time.
