A man was killed late Thursday after he was struck by a NJ Transit train in Monmouth County, authorities said.

The trespasser, whose identity has not been released, was fatally struck near the Washington Boulevard crossing in Sea Girt, which is prior to Manasquan Station, according to a transit spokesperson.

He was hit by a North Jersey Coast Line train that departed Long Branch at 7:10 p.m. and was scheduled to arrive in Bay Head at 7:50 p.m.

There were no injuries to the approximately 10 customers or crew members on board, officials said.
