(NewsNation) — The timing of Jake Haro's guilty plea for the murder of his infant son, Emmanuel Haro, surprised attorney Brad Conway, who represented the parents of alleged child killer Casey Anthony.

Conway joined "Banfield" to discuss Haro's guilty plea in court Thursday, a reversal of his previous plea.

Baby Emmanuel was reported missing Aug. 14. His mother, Rebecca Haro, initially told authorities Emmanuel had been kidnapped as she changed his diaper in the back seat of a car outside of a store. She alleged she was knocked unconscious and woke up to find her son gone.

"Here we are on October 16, and he's already entered a plea. That's almost unheard of," Conway said.
