SHREVEPORT, La. — The Shreveport Fire Department broke ground Thursday on its new Fire Station 15 — a state-of-the-art, two-story facility designed to improve response times and better serve the community.
City officials, Fire Chief Clarence Reese Jr., firefighters, and community partners gathered to celebrate the milestone. The new station, funded through the 2021 bond, represents what officials call a major step forward in modernizing public safety infrastructure across the city.
Fire Station 15 will be built at 2918 Valley View Drive, replacing the aging facility at 3206 W. 70th Street, which was constructed in 1961.
Reese said the new station will help firefighters respond more efficiently and continue the department’s mission to protect life and property with professionalism, integ
