A Cambridge resident was forced out of her flat after it was flooded by a leak. Residents at Huxley House in Mill Park, Cambridge , were awoken by a hot water leak seeping through floors in the early hours of last Friday (October 10).

As a result of the leak, one flat was left “inhabitable”, according to resident Vincenza Ruggiero, and the person living there had to sleep in the community room. This is not the first problem residents at Huxley House have experienced, as only the week before there was a fire at the flats.

This fire left one man seriously injured, another person injured and ‘ children unable to sleep ’. As well as the fire, residents have had problems with black mould, sewage leaks, broken lifts and rodents over the years.
