New Delhi, Oct 17: India’s Director General, Rabinarayan Acharya, and Dr. Srinivas Rao Chinta, Joint Advisor of the Ministry of Ayush, participated in the 2025 Arctic Circle Assembly in Reykjavík, Iceland.

They discussed India’s engagement in the Arctic region and the growing relevance of traditional medicine in addressing global health challenges. Acharya proposed transdisciplinary clinical trials in Arctic settings, a joint research consortium, and cross-cultural Ayush delivery and safety surveillance.

He also advocated for publishing scientific evidence to bridge traditional and modern medicine and embedding Ayush awareness in India’s Arctic outreach diplomacy.
