A man in his 40s has been found dead at the side of the road after a hit and run crash. Police have issued an appeal for dash cam footage and witnesses after finding the man's body on Thursday (October 16).

Northamptonshire Police were called at around 8am on Thursday by a member of the public who had seen a man lying in the undergrowth of the southbound carriageway. Emergency services attended.

The man, who was in his 40s, had sustained fatal injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives are appealing for the driver of the vehicle involved in the incident or anyone who knows their identity, to get in touch urgently.
