The Gujarat government, led by the BJP, unveiled a revamped cabinet on Friday comprising 26 ministers. Among the new appointees is Rivaba Jadeja, wife of cricketer Ravindra Jadeja, who joined the BJP in 2019. Other notable ministers joining the cabinet include Swaroopji Thakor, Pravenkumar Mali, Rushikesh Patel, Darshna Waghela, Kunvarji Bavaliya, Arjun Modhwadia, Parshottam Solanki, Jitendra Waghani, Praful Pansheriya, Harsh Sanghvi, and Kanubhai Desai. The cabinet reshuffle follows the mass resignation of all ministers except CM Bhupendra Patel, allowing the leadership a “strategic reset” ahead of local body elections and the 2027 state assembly polls.
