PORTSMOUTH — The seasonal Seacoast African American Cultural Center is leaving the Portsmouth Historical Society due to affordability issues and will start the hunt for a new home.

Sandi Clark Kaddy , the nonprofit’s president, said the center will close its physical doors Friday, Oct. 31, in the Middle Street building. Rent has become too burdensome at $1,350 a month.
