As Halloween quickly approaches, people are beginning to purchase large amounts of candy in preparation for trick-or-treaters.

The Green Bay Press-Gazette visited six grocery stores in the area, Walmart, Target, Pick 'n Save, Meijer, Woodman's and Aldi, to see how much Halloween candy costs at each location.

As of Oct. 16, this is how much Halloween candy costs at these Green Bay-area grocery stores. We compared prices on the same count and assortment of four different bags of candy.

How much does a large variety pack of Mars chocolates cost?

We checked the prices of a 200-count bag and 120-count bag of mini Milky Ways, M&Ms, Peanut M&Ms, Twix and Snickers.

Walmart , 2440 W. Mason St. in Green Bay, is currently selling the 200-count bag for $24.96 and the 120-count for $19.97.
