The Special Crime Unit has arrested three persons, including a woman, for allegedly transporting brown sugar in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. The operation led to the seizure of 555 grams of brown sugar, valued at approximately Rs 60 lakh, along with cash and jewellery.

According to reports, a woman from Khordha and two youths from Nimapada were apprehended while they were transporting the contraband in a luxury car.

The arrests were made following days of surveillance by the police. In addition to the brown sugar, officers recovered Rs 5,10,000 in cash, as well as gold and silver ornaments during the raid.

Police Identified the Accused

The arrested individuals have been identified as Lina alias Anita Paramguru from Khordha, Raja alias Rajendra Kumar Sahoo and Siba Prasad Das, both from Nimapad
