Musicians often talk about playing every gig like it’s their last.

For Jimmie Bones, that’s more than a mere adage.

The veteran metro area musician and longtime keyboardist in Kid Rock’s Twisted Brown Trucker Band was diagnosed with ALS just over 10 months ago. Now the father of five is back home in Brighton, managing the disease, but also writing and recording music and playing occasional shows of his own, including this weekend at the Token Lounge in Westland.
