FARGO — Two days a week, Brittany Colbert is a perfectly buttoned-down employee, solving customers’ problems and answering their questions for her job at a credit union.
Other days, Colbert is a one-woman circus: “Standing” on her forearms to twirl multiple hula hoops with one leg, dancing with a crown of real flames atop her head and striding confidently down the street with 3-foot-tall stilts hidden beneath extra-long striped pants.
“It’s chasing that adrenaline,” says the 33-year-old Fargo mom, whose stage name is Miss Honeysuckle. “It’s a safe way to be dangerous.”
It’s also potentially profitable. After years of mastering skills from hooping to fire-dancing, Colbert has built a stable of similarly talented performers and started a new business, Flowstate Entertainment.
