A massive fire is expected to burn for the ‘next couple of days’ as firefighters continue to battle the blaze. Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue remain at the scene of a large fire in Tilbrook, Huntingdonshire .
More than 30 firefighters have been at the scene since 2am on Friday (October 17). The fire involves around 300 tonnes of straw.
A fire spokesperson said “good progress” is being made to put out the flames. It is expected the fire will burn for the “next couple of days”, added the fire spokesperson. The fire spokesperson said: “Crews remain at the scene tackling the fire. Good progress is being made but there will still be smoke in the area due to the complexity of the fire and the amount of straw affected.
