Arsenal could be back into the transfer market for forward help after versatile German striker Kai Havertz suffered a knee injury, according to David Ornstein .

The injury to Havertz, 26, left the Gunners with just one healthy center forward — new signing Viktor Gyokeres — as Gabriel Jesus has yet to return from last season’s ACL injury. Havertz would later undergo what was described as minor surgery.

Mikel Arteta most recently shared this update on Havertz on October 17.

“Kai is very difficult, there’s still a lot to do in his rehab,” Arteta said, via Arsenal.com . “He’s really pushing it. We know Kai and that’s why we love him so much, but we have to wait and see.”
