An excavator was on site removing the charred remains on Friday of a house under construction destroyed in an early-morning fire in Brantford.
Recommended Videos Dwayne Armstrong, deputy chief of the Brantford Fire Department, said they received a call about a fire at Arthur and Alfred streets just before 1:30 a.m. Armstrong said the fire was “fully involved” when 13 firefighters arrived at the scene. “Crews did an excellent job containing the fire to the structure preventing its spread to adjacent buildings.” Armstrong said the cause of the fire and an estimated value of the lost property haven’t yet been determined.
