Congress leader and MP Rahul Gandhi visited the residence of late singer Zubeen Garg in Guwahati to pay his respects and emphasised the need for a transparent investigation into the circumstances of his death.

Expressing his grief, Gandhi said, “It’s very sad for me to come here under these circumstances. I would have liked to visit under happier conditions.”

Drawing a personal connection, he recalled his mountaineering days in Sikkim and compared Zubeen Garg to Mount Kanchenjunga, describing him as “honest, transparent, unshakable, and beautiful,” qualities that reflected his life and legacy.
