A Sarnia judge told Dylan Comeau he gathers he’s not an overly religious person.

“I say that because taking things, breaking into a church, a place of worship for people in your neighbourhood, in your mother’s neighbourhood, does not really put you at the top of the best neighbour list,” Justice Paul Kowalyshyn said while recently sentencing Comeau to seven months in jail.

Comeau, who lives at his mother’s home in Arkona next door to Elim Bible Chapel, broke into the church twice last year. In the second incident, he made off with $28,000 worth of property, including a variety of musical instruments.
