The Mobile City Council appears poised to shutter a St. Stephens Road nightclub that was described during last week’s council meeting as the object of hundreds of 911 calls and various criminal cases over the past three years.
The council’s agenda for Tuesday, Oct. 21, includes a resolution that states Phat Tuesday Sports Bar, LLC “has created circumstances detrimental to the public health, safety and welfare” since 2022. Noting illegal alcohol sales, marijuana purchases, shootings, assaults, and more took place at the lounge, the resolution gives councilors the option to suspend, revoke or decline to renew Phat Tuesday’s business license.
